Final Thoughts

As I stated last week, Raw began writing their next chapter which will conclude at the #eliminationChamber PPV on February 25th.

As we inch our way closer to the event, and with the stories being told these past couple of weeks, I must say that at this point I’m not all to excited for the PPV. Maybe it’s due to those dam dirt sheets spoiling the end results for the possible matches at #WrestleMania.

Speaking of which, this week we saw Roman Reigns and the Miz both qualify for the elimination chamber. At the end of Raw however, Elias won the right to enter the chamber last by defeating Braun Stroman and John Cena. That was not a typo. The E must have big plans for Elias.

The next episode of #Raw we will see a fatal 4-way where Finn Balor, Bray Wyatt, Matt Hardy and Apollo Crews do battle to see who can enter the #elimination Chamber. Spoiler alert, Finn Balor wins.

Elsewhere on #Raw, the slow burn tease of Sasha Bank’s heel turn continues, as she and Bailey had somewhat of a weird exchange backstage before Baylies match. We all saw this coming, look at Sasha’s mannerisms during the #RoyalRumble and last week’s match with Asuka. I’m calling it now; the official heel turn will occur after #Elimination Chamber.

Earlier, we saw Micky James defeat Sonya Deville, but the story there is Alexa Bliss pulling James to safety after absolution tried to bum rush her. I do not think the pair will reunite, or James will go heel. I think it’s a simple case of the champion doing whatever it takes to keep the title, so she will try to make friends with as many as she can leading up to the PPV.

With #EliminationChamber in three-weeks, the card currently looks like this: Men’s Elimination Chamber Match for a Universal Championship Match at WrestleMania: Braun Strowman vs. Elias vs. John Cena vs. Roman Reigns vs. The Miz and one other man

Women’s Elimination Chamber Match for the Raw Women’s Championship: Alexis Bliss vs. Bayley vs. Mandy Rose vs. Sonya Deville vs. Mickie James vs. Sasha Banks

Nia Jax vs. Asuka

I must say that both women’s matches are the matches I’m looking forward too. The story headed up to the chamber is predictable, but after the chamber, leading up to #WrestleMania will be exciting, I hope? Sorry. I’m a fan, and I want to be entertained!

I’m giving this week’s show a 6. Not promo heavy, focused still on the in-ring action, average main-event but it was that dam 3rd hour that killed it for me. If the 3rd hour wasn’t there, the show could’ve been a 6.5.
